Denmark’s Anne-Marie Rindom is now a four-time ILCA 6 World Champion, having just won gold at the 2024 Women’s title at Yacht Club Argentino, held in the city of Mar del Plata, Argentina.
With 2024 being an Olympic year, returning to top form puts her in a great position to retain her Olympic title in Paris, as she won Gold at Tokyo 2020.
Rindom held the lead from start to finish at the event, ending up 17 points clear of the USA’s Charlotte Rose, even though she finished 10th in the Medal Race. Belgium’s Emma Plasschaert completed the podium in 3rd overall.
A total of 101 boats from 46 countries participated in the 2024 ILCA 6 Women’s World Championship with Paris 2024 Olympic Games spots awarded to Finland, Ireland, Uruguay, Spain, Brazil, Turkey and Mexico.
